The Saga Museum is located in a historical building! Known as “Alliance-húsið” (The House of Alliance), it was used as a salted fish processing plant for the company Alliance after it was built between 1924 and 1925. The house was declared a historical building in 2010, and its outside appearance is protected by the Icelandic state.
The Museum hosts a small gallery featuring the history of the house, composed of several archival pictures.
